Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Content Specialist with 2+ years of experience to join our growing marketing team in the retail energy . The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in content creation and social media management and is eager to grow in the areas of brand development and strategic communication . You will develop and execute content that engages key audiences throughout the customer journey. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with brand strategy, campaign goals, and business objectives. 

This role will be responsible for managing the social media content calendar , developing and executing marketing emails , surveys , web page content , blogs and supporting broader brand and communications initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media:

  • Develop, schedule, and manage social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and NextDoor.
  • Monitor engagement and trends to optimize content strategy

Content Creation & Management:

  • Write and design marketing emails, newsletters, customer surveys, web page content and blogs
  • Maintain and update content calendars
  • Draft copy and design collateral aligned with brand voice and visual identity

Brand Support:

  • Collaborate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to support brand guideline development and implementation
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining brand assets and templates (PDFs, presentations, etc.)

Design & Digital Tools:

  • Create visual content using Canva and basic Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
  • Build or edit basic HTML documents for email and landing pages

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Design, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a content or digital marketing role, preferably in B2C or energy/utilities
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills with an ability to adapt tone and style
  • Portfolio showcasing content writing and design work (required)
  • Proficient with Canva and basic Adobe design tools
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating with senior leadership and external agencies
  • Interest in branding and visual identity is a plus
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce) and CMS platforms is a bonus
