Title: Manufacturing Controls Technician

Location: Haslet, Texas

Schedule: 2nd Shift

Our Haslet, TX facility is a cutting-edge gummy manufacturing plant, and we’re looking for an HR Generalist to lead human resources on-site—ensuring a positive, productive, and high-performing work environment.

Summary:

This position directly supports the entire production organization by: Supporting and training Maintenance in troubleshooting/repairing mechanical & electrical including PLC problems on manufacturing and facilities equipment. Taking ownership of assigned projects and driving them to completion while working independently or as part of a team. Developing engineering solutions to eliminate repetitive equipment/process issues. Implementing Continuous Improvement Actions through-out the facility

Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:

• Access, program, troubleshoot, and maintain the PLC programs with historical programming notes
• Work closely with all levels of the organization for equipment and process improvements including but not limited to equipment troubleshooting, equipment installation, training of maintenance team and performing root cause problem solving.
• Manage new/current electrical/plc projects.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as needed.
• Develop engineering solutions to eliminate repetitive equipment/process issues
• Partner with vendors to implement best in class electrical/controls solutions.

You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications):

1. Have a 2-year college degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Systems, Mechatronics or equivalent field
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
3. Must be willing to work altered shift schedules/overtime as needed to support the business
4. Must have working (hands on) knowledge of the following:

• Electrical Schematics (read and write)
• Power circuits up to 480 VAC 3 phase
• DC Control Circuits voltages to 24 VDC
• Rockwell Software including RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000 Enterprise Series, RSLinx, RSNetWorx, RSview32, FactoryTalkView- Siemens Software including Simatic Manger Step7, Drive ES/Simotion, WinCCFlex- Vision Systems
• Variable Speed Drives- Manufacturing equipment/process troubleshooting

1. Utilize LEAN tools such as Standardized Work, 5S, Visual Management as well as leading Kaizen projects and documenting results to support continuous improvement projects
2. Identify and establish machine spares for equipment as needed
3. Continuously work to improve the level of housekeeping and implement 5S through-out the facility
4. Perform any other duties as specified by the Maintenance Manager

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly range for this position is $26.00 to $45.00. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
